Korea land corporation scholars

Five scholars from the Korea Land Corporation completed their program in December. The scholars received English speaking instruction and participated in cultural and academic activities.

news_003_001.jpgKorea Land Corporation was founded in 1975 as an institute to spearhead effective development and management of Korea’s land. The organization has become a primary engine in terms of Korea’s economic development. KLC conducts its land development projects as a means of making vital contributions to the nation’s economy, and at the same time improving the welfare of Korea’s citizens.

Environment-friendly land development forms the heart of KLC’s management policy. A specialized organization of environmental experts has bee established and core technologies in complex housing design, hydrophilic design, and combined waste management has been secured in order to meet global standards in environmental preservation.

There are currently 2,200 professionals specializing in land, real estate and construction, working at the head office as well as three regional offices and nine branch offices located throughout the country. In the past 30 years, KLC contributed more than 121,500 acres of prepared land and initiated an wide array of land polices.
 
KLC is also involved in the development of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea, which many consider a starting point of inter-Korean economic cooperation.
