Dr. Seungkown You received a special recognition award for his excellent work in international education and for his contribution to the internationalization effort at MU. Dr. You is a Research Associate & an assistant professor of Resident Instruction at the AAC. He teaches Korean Civilization, Korean Cinema and U.S.-Korean Relations, and has been on staff at the Asian Affairs Center since 2002.

The award ceremony was the opening event at the Chancellor’s Forum to Discuss Issues Surrounding World Hunger. “The Scourge of Global Hunger: Problems and Solutions,” was another in a series of forums sponsored by MU. Douglas Casson Coutts, special adviser on child hunger with the United Nations’ World Food Program and a distinguished professor at Auburn University in Alabama outlined the challenges of world hunger and answered questions in an open forum.
